I am an Air Force spouse and many times I have been the shoulder for support during deployments.  I know that nothing can ease the pain of a loved one being gone for the holidays, anniversaries, birthdays or just any day of the week.  Being separated from a loved one is a challege, but one we military spouses must endure.   Nothing replaces a loved one at home, but Operation LOVE REUNITED, OpLove, as it is commonly refered, is a great way to ease the burden, on both the family at home and the deployed member down range.  To find the nearest photographer, use this locator on their website.

OpLove is a non-profit organization with a collection of photographers that have gone above and beyond to support their nation.  OpLove maintains a nationwide network of photographers that have met stringent requirements in order to provide you, the military family, two professionally conducted photo sessions, one pre or post deployment and one upon return.

Images from the pre/post deployment photo session are professionally processed, printed and shipped directly to the military member in a beautiful 4x6 album.  During the homecoming session additional pictures will be taken and you will be provided a CD of images and a mounted 8x10 of your choice.

What is the cost, you ask?  That is the question of the day.  The OpLove sessions are absolutely free!  You heard me right, two photo sessions, professional images in a 4x6 album and a mounted 8x10 absolutely free.

Okay so what is the catch?  There is absolutely no catch.  OpLove is an organization that is determined to give back to the men and women of the Armed Forces by capturing emotional moments for you to cherish for a lifetime.

So, above is the skinny on the program itself, now I'll dive into the nuts and bolts of each session.

The pre or post deployment session is done either before or after the military member departs on their deployment.  This session is conducted with a patriotic theme using your family members uniform items, dog tags, American Flag, or anything patriotic that you wish to have captured.  Out of this session a 4x6 album with up to 25 images will be designed and mailed directly to the deployed location by me.

The homecoming session is done, as it says, upon their homecoming.  I know how the military works, hurry up and wait.  So it wouldn't suprise me if return dates changed, frequently.  This makes it extremely difficult to attend, although I will always make the best effort.  If for some reason I am not able to attend, I will do my best to contact another OpLove photographer to attend.  If I am unable, the session will still be conducted, just as a family session.  From this you will be able to choose your favorite image in a mounted 8x10.

If you would like some additional information on the program, or you are a photographer that would like to donate your time and services please go to the OpLove website.

As always I extend an additional 20% discount to all families to purchase additional prints from these photo sessions.

The process can take a bit of time, as you can imagine there is paperwork to complete.  At this time I can only offer 3 OpLove sessions per month.  Please contact me soon to schedule your session, since their so many military families out there and so few photographers.

I look forward to working with you.

Thank you for serving
